Bob and Agnes
Bob spent a good part of today resting. Rest is very important at this time. Bob's white count is up. This could be because he is fighting the infection in the bedsores. Bob was coughing quite a bit today, but currently there are no signs of pneumonia which we are thankful for. He did get several respiratory treatments throughout the day.
Bob's sister Debbie brought in a dry erase board for him to use to communicate, but he didn't show any interest in it. He continues to communicate through nodding. We have tried to use pictures for Bob to communicate through pointing. When Bob gestures with his left hand he is showing signs of a tremor. This could be due to him struggling to get control of fine motor movements.
Thank you for your continued prayers.
Bob was struggling tonight with a 102* fever and a heartrate bouncing between 145 and 188 which was most likely due to the fever. I'm sure the bedsores had something to do with it as I could tell he was moving around quite a bit and scratching away! We left early so he could try to get some well deserved rest. The nurse told me that he still wakes in the middle of the night with panic attacks. Please pray for Bob and an 8 year old girl named Dani who is at JMH rehab. Dani's aunt is a good friend of my daughter Marie. She also has a blog here: http://danielladiaz.blogspot.com
